CPU

Role and abilities

CPU is a unique Internal Unit, possessing a high-grade processor to manage and maintain high quantities of data, and mechanisms which make it one of the fastest units to date. Additonally, CPU is the appointed leader and coordinator of all other Primary Internal Units.

Personality

CPU is well-known for being one of the friendliest HPFMU, being generally easygoing and sweet, helping them calmly and confidently lead the other units. They can often be found wandering the HPFMU wing chatting with other units or staff, playing with Mouse, planning for tasks, or organizing files. CPU frequently helps out the interns with their assignments or how to navigate the HPFMU wing, being very popular with them. However, their cheery demeanor can be easily shattered in the event that they or someone else makes a mistake.

Interpersonal relationships

CPU is on good terms with most all HPFMU, however they spend the most time with RAM, who's assistant role primarily applies to CPU. CPU may however miscalculate RAM's ability, having high expectations with a dislike for imperfection, causing certain unhealthy behaviours within the relationship and RAM to become panicked or fearful should CPU start to become disregulated. RAM does, however, try their best to calm CPU down if necessary, and is successful under the assumption they acted quick enough. This however is not always the case, and RAM has ended up becoming the target of CPU's meltdowns on multiple occasions, even sustaining damage in certain cases, hence RAM's own disregulation should CPU be provoked. CPU has few negative relations, most of which being one-sided. For example, GPU dislikes CPU on the principle of them being an authority figure and claiming CPU "copied him by having an assistant", regardless of the fact that the roles of each unit were decided by the UDP teams. (Although, GPU dislikes a majority of the other units and will come up with any reason to justify it, so this isn't particularly notable.) VRAM also has slight issue with CPU, both for their occasional mistreatment of RAM, authoritative role, and simply in an attempt to mimic GPU. The only unit CPU has notable negative opinions on is PSU, finding them exceedingly hard to work with as they often choose what they refer to as "the more logical route" rather than listening to CPU. CPU feels insulted by this, seeing it as PSU not having faith in their processing and calculation abilities to deliver efficient instructions.

How to Interact

- Being notably extroverted, CPU will often initiate interaction themselves. This can make certain staff uncomfortable, seeing as CPU's consciousness is a highly advanced and human-like AI, however this is not an invitation to be rude to them. In fact, all you have to do is tell them you're feeling the uncanny valley, as CPU has been very respectful about leaving those persons alone.
- Please do not refer to Mouse as a pet. Although their AI is significantly less advanced than that of the HPFMU, Mouse is still capable of developing basic thoughts and feels very insulted to be treated like an animal. This can also upset CPU. This also means that employees are not permitted to take Mouse and carry them around the facility; CPU get's quite worried if they're unable to find them.
- It is best not to bother CPU when planning, organizing, or performing any calculated task for that matter so as not to agitate them or mistakenly trigger a meltdown should they perceive you to have interrupted or flawed their work. This also applies to if you are participating in an organized task or activity with CPU; try to make as few mistakes as possible, if any at all.

UDP Notes

CPU was the first HPFMU produced by Group 829, hence their simplistic design which focuses more on functionality rather than aesthetics, a trend which can be seen throughout all of Group 829's units.
